DOLPHIN JOURNEY MEDITATION Imagine it is a quiet moonlight night and you are standing on a beautiful white sandy beach, the sand still warm under your feet from the sun's rays of the day. A gentle breeze is blowing through the palm trees and softly caresses your face and body. The moon is luminescent and full, and the shimmering pale white moonlight showers you with its powerful moon energy as moonbeams dance upon the undulating ebony water surrounding you.
As you walk along the beach with the waves gently kissing your feet and the ocean singing to you, you look to the heavens and you see the most wondrous, brilliant star. As you gaze upon this twinkling star, you see it fall suddenly into the water, and in a flash of Light, a beautiful, perfect dolphin emerges from that very spot. And in an instant your heart and mind know that this magical being came to you from the heavens above.
The dolphin calls to you in a language not of words, but of the heart. It is an easy joyous communication welcoming you to approach and enter the water. Excitedly you do so, finding the water warm and soothing. As you greet one another and you look into the dolphin's eyes, you see the Universe itself reflected there. You feel at peace and loved. It is a union and a reunion.
You remember and you are connected. Such joy and love you have for your new friend and guide. You take hold of the dolphin's fin and he gently swims with you. You feel totally safe and protected as you both now go beneath the surface of the water, deeper and deeper. How beautiful this underwater world is. You could stay here forever--surrounded by vibrantly colored fish, coral, sea and plant life of every description. And in the distance you see a crystal cave---just for you. You and your guide effortlessly glide toward this cave, so inviting.
And as you enter the cave, you find it has many, many rooms of many colors---red, orange, purple, green, blue, yellow. Each is healing and you choose the color you need. Or you may choose to visit each room. You are like a sponge absorbing the vibration, the energy, of all the beautiful colors. You may stay here as long as you wish. And when you are ready to leave, you see that your dolphin friend has been patiently waiting for you and he now accompanies you to the surface. .
You float silently upward and emerge from the water healed and whole. You bid farewell to each other, thanking this magnificent Celestial being for his love and energy and for this healing journey. this is a quote from Gary Zukav's (author of "Dancing Wu Wei Masters") book "Seat of the Soul", copyright 1989: "The dolphin soul is leaving the Earth, that is, the dolphin species is becoming extinct. The dolphins are beaching themselves. They are creating diseases within themselves. This is their way of refusing to continue to live upon the Earth. They feel that they cannot fulfill the purpose for which they are born. Therefore, they are leaving. Their deaths are not suicides because they are not frightened. They are exhausted. THE DOLPHINS HAVE COME TO TEACH YOU SOMETHING. WHAT THEY WILL TEACH YOU IS, THAT THE MOST BASIC FEELING IN LIFE IS JOY! THERE ARE NO HIGHER GOALS THAN TO FEEL THIS JOY, AND NO MATTER WHAT IS YOUR TASK, AND NO MATTER AT WHICH STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT YOU ARE, THEN JOY IS THE ESSENCE OF LIFE ITSELF. JOY IS THE PERFECT EMOTIONAL EXPRESSION OF LOVE. LOVE CAN BE A SOMEWHAT UNDEFINABLE THING. YOU MUST LOVE YOU NEIGHBOUR, BUT WHAT EXACTLY IS LOVE? JOY IS THE SPONTANEOUS EXPRESSION OF THE ENERGY OF THE HEART. A HUMAN BEING WHO IS ABLE TO FEEL LOVE, WILL ALSO FEEL JOY. JOY IS YOUR GOAL, AND ALSO YOUR MEANS, AND I WILL TELL YOU NOW, THAT YOU HAVE MY BLESSINGS TO REST WITHIN THIS JOY, WHICH IS A NATIVE GIFT YOU HAVE RECEIVED IN THIS LIFE. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, YOUR OWN DEVELOPMENT, YOUR TASKS, ARE NOT MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU MUST REMEMBER ALWAYS TO HAVE THIS JOY WITHIN YOU. IF THE JOY IS MISSING, THEN SOMETHING IS WRONG. IF YOU DO SOMETHING TO YOUR NEIGHBOUR OUT OF DUTY, WHICH IS NOT MOTIVATED BY JOY AS THE PRIMARY FEELING, THEN YOU ARE DOING IT WITHOUT LOVE, AND THEN IT IS NOT WORTH VERY MUCH. IF YOU ARE WITHIN A PROCESS, WHERE YOU FEEL JOY BY BEING RELEASED FROM YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, THEN YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY TO GO ASTRAY. THE DOLHINS HAVE COME HERE TODAY TO SHOW YOU THIS. IN THE FUTURE YOU CAN USE YOUR INNER IMAGE OF THESE TWO BEAUTIFUL CREATURES TO RETAIN YOUR INNER JOY. THIS FEELING WILL GIVE YOU PEACE TO LET GO OF OPPRESSIVE FEELINGS OF DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITY. THINK OF THESE DOLPHINS, MEDITATE TOGETHER WITH THEM - THEY ARE WITH YOU FOREVER. THEY ARE SWIMMING AROUND IN THE ARCHIPELAGO, BUT WHEREVER YOU ARE, YOU WILL BE CONNECTED WITH THEM. THEY CAN HELP YOU WITH EVERYTHING YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER, AND THEY CAN ADD TO YOUR LIFE THE PLAYFUL ENERGY, THAT YOU TEND TO FORGET. JOY, PLAYING, FREEDOM, A NATURAL EROTIC ENERGY BETWEEN THE SEX'ES, FREEDOM TO USE THIS ENERGY FOR RELEASE AND FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF JOY. THAT IS WHAT THE DOLPHINS SYMBOLIZE. YOU MUST KEEP THIS IN MIND, BECAUSE FOR SEVERAL LIFETIMES YOU HAVE BEEN LIVING TOO MUCH WITHIN A PATTERN OF DUTY, YOU HAVE TAKEN UPON YOU SOME BURDENS CONCERNING OTHER PEOPLES DEVELOPMENT, WHICH HAVE BEEN WITHOUT JOY, AND YOU HAVE HAD A TENDENCY TO ISOLATE YOURSELF WITHIN THIS ROOM OF DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITY. RESPONSIBILITY IS INDEED FINE, BUT IT SHOULD NOT BE EXAGGERATED! THIS WILL I, YOUR GOD, SAY TO YOU ON THIS BEAUTIFUL DAY, AND YOU WILL NEVER FORGET THIS EXPERIENCE AND THESE WORDS AGAIN. I sat with tears running down my cheeks, and I was very happy and moved. This experience opened and changed me, and left some deep marks. Later I learned, that Jesus in former times has been symbolized by a dolphin, just as the dolphins are the symbol of the higher level of the astrological sign Pisces. Since then I have read a lot about dolphins, and I have also visited a Swedish dolphinarium a couple of times. Each time I merely read about dolphins, something happens. There is something special about dolphins, but what exactly is it, apart from this simple message that they represent the joy in our earthly life ? I will write about this in some following chapters. There appears to be some higher spiritual truths behind all this. But for the present, you, who reads this, can try if you can visualize the two dolphins in the Archipelago. If you are sensitive, you will also be able to contact these two bringers of joy - then you can use the image of this dolphin-pair in your meditation.
