The Prayer binder Chaplet is Based on St. Anthony's Chaplet

Here is an interesting passage from "The Magical Power of the Saints" :
By the Rev. Ray Marlbrough,
The Prayer binder Chaplet

Rosaries, chaplets, prayer beads - whatever they are called- beads have been used for centuries as an instrument of religious devotion in Roman Catholicism and in Buddhism.  Prayer beads can be wonderful tools in measuring out the time spent in prayer; devotions for each bead are represented by your recited prayers.

The standard Roman Catholic rosary, when done correctly, will aid the individual in learning to use creative visualization in conjunction with vocal prayer.  In practice, when the rosary is recited the person is supposed to visualize themselves present as the mystery is unfolding or meditate on a fixed image of the mystery as they say each decade of ten Hail Mary's.  To recite the standard rosary without mental visualization is considered fruitless.

Chaplets are similar to the Buddhist rosaries, and are used when invoking the assistance of a particular saint during your novena.  There are chaplets of St. Anthony, St. Ann, St. Joseph, the Infant Jesus of Prague, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and a chaplet of St. Jude. [These are just to name a few]    Naturally these chaplets include prayers to the saint to whom they are directed.

The Prayer binder Chaplet is inspired from the chaplet of St. Anthony.  In using the chaplet of St. Anthony you recite for each bead an Our Father, a Hail Mary, and a Gloria, thirteen times.  The number thirteen is associated with St. Anthony.  There are thirteen full moons in a year.
Within the nine metaphysical or occult laws, the Law of Three Requests states that all requests from the subtle dimensions are to be repeated in triplicate.  The first utterance alerts the conscious mind, the second repetition engages the reasoning faculties, while the third repetition of the prayer makes direct contact with the psyche or soul force.  For this reason all prayers or petitions are recited three times.
It has also been said about prayer that a prayer said seven times will be believed by all who hear it.  However, a prayer that is said nine times will be answered by God.  In this case each triplet (group of three beads) is repeated nine times.  Three times nine equals twenty-seven and two plus seven equals nine.  Nine is the number of the moon.  The triplet can represent the Goddess as Maiden, Mother, Crone.
In use, the first nine Triplets are ended with a positive affirmation borrowed from a traditional form of magic used by Witches.  The last four Triplets invoke the elements of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air, again part of a traditional spell in Witchcraft.  I will not give these two spells in this book but a knowledgeable witch will recognize the two spells by the words alone.  See the Chaplet illustration (opposite).  the affirmations and invocations of the elements are as follows.

By Triplet of one, my prayer is begun,
By Triplet of two, my prayer cometh true.
By triplet of three, thus my prayer shall now be.
By Triplet of four, opens the door.
By triplets of five my prayer is alive.
By triplet of six, my prayer I now fix.
By triplet of seven, events I now leaven.
By triplet of eight, my prayer is now fate.
By triplet of nine, this prayer is mine.

At Earth say:
I call earth to bind my prayer spell.

At Air, say:
Air to speed its travel well.

At Fire say:
Fire to give it spirit from above.

At Water, say:
Water bless my prayer with love.  So be it!

The prayer binder chaplet is composed of thirty-nine beads.  The number thirty-nine can be broken down to a single digit, the number three.  Three plus nine equals twelve, and one plus two equals three.  Your actual prayer is recited on each of the thirty-nine beads, ending the Triplet with the appropriate affirmation.

Try to make y our prayer from the heart a positive statement happening now, but in rhyme.  This technique in using the chaplet can be applied to any of life's situations and will give you fifteen to twenty minutes of focused concentration on your desire, while using the chaplet [...].
Prayer and candle burning have long been an established practice among Roman Catholics, the largest Christian denomination in North and South America.

Chaplet of St. Anthony

This chaplet is composed of thirteen decades of three
beads each. On the first bead of each decade is said the
Our Father, on the second the Hail Mary, and on the
third the Glory be to the Father. At the end the
Miraculous Responsorial is recited.

The Miraculous Responsorial (by St. Bonaventura)

If miracles thou vain would see;
Lo, error, death, calamity.
The leprous stain, the demon flies,
From beds of pain the sick arise.

The hungry seas forgo their prey,
The prisoner's cruel chains give way;
While palsied limbs and chattels lost
Both young and old recovered boast.

And perils perish, plenty's hoard,
Is heaped on hunger's famished board;
Let those relate who know it well,
Let Padua of her patron tell.

The hungry seas forgo their prey,...

Glory be the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

The hungry seas forgo their prey,...

V. Pray for us, blessed Anthony,
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us Pray
O God, let the votive commemoration of
Blessed Anthony, Thy confessor, be a source
of joy in Thy Church, that she may always be
fortified with spiritual assistance, and may
deserve to possess eternal joy. Through Christ
our Lord. Amen
